Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Find answers to common questions to easily discover solutions for maintaining cleanliness and comfort in your home.
The AC4825 and AC4825E use GermGuardian Filter B (FLT4825), available as standard Pure HEPA, Pet Pure and Toxin Clear versions, plus the LB4000 UV-C bulb.
Replace the HEPA filter every 6–8 months and the UV-C bulb about every 10–12 months, or sooner in homes with pets or smokers.
With the unit on, press and hold the filter/reset button (often the power or timer button on older models) for 3–5 seconds until the indicator light turns off.
Most current GermGuardian models are ozone-free or have the ionizer switched off by default. Check the listing for the specific model’s rating.
A red or flashing light usually means the filter or UV-C bulb needs replacing. After installing a new one, reset the indicator.
Yes for the price. Reviews praise their True HEPA filtration, quiet operation and low filter cost; for very large or open-plan rooms, choose a larger model like the AC5250PT.
